Sixta QuassdorfWissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin Deutsche Sprachwissenschaft LebenslaufSixta Quassdorf holds a Lizentiat (M.A.) from Basel University in English philology, general linguistics and philosophy (after studies in Berlin and Madrid). She has a broad interest in linguistics ranging from philosophical, historical, formal-theoretical to pragmatic and usage-based issues. Her M.A. thesis is entitled Different Theories – Different Solutions? Ditransitivity in Generative Grammar and Cognitive Linguistics. She has been part of the HyperHamlet project team since August 2006 and is working on her PhD thesis in English linguistics using the HyperHamlet database of references to and quotations from Shakespeare's Hamlet for her research on historical phraseology. Since August 2008 she holds a position as scientific researcher within the Swiss National Project "German Proverbs and idioms in laguage change. Online-dictionary for diachronic phraseology (OLdPhras)". |
